CUSTOM BUILD ORDERING
You may pay in full or submit a $500 deposit to secure your spot in the build queue. The $500 deposit is non-refundable. If you pay in full, $500 of your payment is your deposit. Blackout Dynamics dedicates administrative overhead for each custom build order and your deposit is deemed earned by Blackout Dynamics upon receipt. If you secure your order with a deposit, your balance is due before your order goes into allocation.
COUPON CODES AND DISCOUNTS
You must use any available coupon codes at the time that you place your order. Coupon codes and later sales will not be applied retroactively.
CUSTOM BUILD ORDER CHANGES
You can modify your build once without charge before your build goes into allocation. There is a $50 fee for additional change requests. Once your order goes into allocation, it cannot be changed.
CANCELLATIONS
Custom builds: An order cannot be cancelled after it goes into final manufacturing. An order goes into final manufacturing typically 2-3 months before its estimated delivery. You can cancel your order at any time before then; however, your $500 deposit is nonrefundable.
Parts and accessories: You can cancel your order any time before it ships. Orders over $250 are subject to a 3% cancellation fee to cover merchant charges if not cancelled before 5pm MST on the same day of the order.
LEAD TIMES
Posted lead times are our best estimate and can vary. The lead time for your order is what was posted at the time you placed your order. Subsequent increases or decreases to the posted lead time do not affect your order.
TRADE-IN PROGRAM
If we release a next generation design, you may be eligible for a trade-in under certain circumstances. The trade-in program applies only to new and unused custom builds that were purchased directly from us (not through dealers). The following conditions also apply:
- You must have received your custom build order within 90 days of new design launch; AND
- You must request the trade-in no more than 30 days after the new design launch.
This means that a build is not eligible for trade-in if (i) you received the build more than 90 days before the launch; (ii) your build has been shot/used; (iii) you request the trade-in more then 30 days after the new design launch.
If your build is eligible for trade in, please contact us for an approved RMA form. You are responsible for shipping both ways and any difference in cost for the new design.
ORDER STATUS
- Pending payment: Your order has not been paid and is not in queue for fulfillment.
- Partially paid: Your deposit has been paid and your order is in queue for fulfillment pending full payment.
- Processing: Your order is fully paid and is in queue for fulfillment.
- In Allocation: Parts for your order are being allocated.
- In Assembly: Your order is binned and with our gunsmithing department for completion.
- With Shipping: Your order is with our shipping department and is being final packed for transit.
- Completed: Your order has shipped.
RETURNS AND REFUNDS
Custom builds are final sale.
Unused parts and accessories in original condition may be returned as follows:
- Within 15 days of receipt: Full refund less our shipping cost.
- 15-30 days after receipt: Partial refund less 15% restock fee and our shipping cost.
You must request an RMA form before shipping your item back to us. You are responsible for the return shipping cost and any loss or damage in transit.
SHIPPING
Firearms: Firearms must ship to a brick-and-mortar dealer. Enter your dealer’s information in the shipping fields at checkout. You can change your selected dealer at any time before shipping. We ship firearms via FedEx DSR (Direct Signature Required).
Unregulated items: Any item that is not a firearm can ship directly to your home. URGs typically ship UPS, and smaller items USPS. If you have a preferred carrier, e-mail or call us as soon as possible after placing your order.
WARRANTY
We stand behind our product and warrant our manufacturing. Every firearm and URG is test fired before it leaves our facility. Every component goes through several layers of QC to check for surface defects. Uppers are sealed before shipping.
Minor evidence of manufacturing processes are not defects. This includes: light tool marks, small impressions from tumbling media and hand polishing, and slight variations in finish.
If you purchase a custom firearm or URG from us directly, you will receive free gunsmithing labor from us on any future repairs or alterations to your item.
You must maintain your item and use it responsibly. We do not warrant against misuse or accidental damage caused by you or a third-party. Any third-party repair or alteration (including cosmetic alterations to the finish), voids your warranty.
FIRST RESPONDERS AND INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS
First Responders: We offer a 10% discount to the following:
- Active/reserve/ military and law enforcement;
- Current and former EMTs;
- Current and former firefighters;
- Current and former emergency room physicians and medical professionals.
To receive the discount, create an account on our site and e-mail us some proof of service. We will notify you when your account is upgraded. Your account must be upgraded before you place your order. We cannot apply your discount after your order is placed.
Industry Professionals: We often offer a discount to certain professionals in the firearms industry, such as sales staff at dealers and ranges. Please contact us to see if you qualify.
GOVERNMENT SALES
If you are with a government agency or department, please e-mail us for a quote. If you are a dealer interested in selling our product to a government agency or department, please e-mail us for details on our Dealer of Record program.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
If you are a dealer outside of the United States, please e-mail us to set up an account. If you are an individual outside of the United States interested in purchase our product, please e-mail us for more information on our international dealers and shipping process.
DISPUTES
By purchasing product from this website, you agree that any dispute or claim shall be governed exclusively by the laws of Arizona without regard to conflicts of laws principles. All disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with a purchase via this website that are not settled amicably between the parties shall be finally settled by way of arbitration.

By using this site, you agree that are at least 18 years old. When placing an order, you will need to provide your name, e-mail, phone number, address, credit card number, or bank account number. We do not voluntarily share this information with any third party; however, we may be legally compelled to share this information with the government in response to a subpoena or other service of process.
